BW: Page 187, 1/8th of a page. It's a couple of journalistically-unforgiveable "hopes to" type quotes and potential-universe "expects-to" type projections for some future deal with nameless Internet company --- by some small-time analyst of whom I've never heard. Nothing in the BW box specifies a single thing that five companies haven't been struggling to introduce for years. Nothing proprietary. Nothing that show s evidence of market demand. BTW --- another not insignificant fact the BW article absolutely misses is that the HAUP boards (or competitors' boards) require broadcasters to devote over-air or over-cable channels to data in order to do a single thing. Broadcasters may be expected to resist re-assigning spectrum allocations from soaps to databroadcasting for some time --- just as record companies resist MP3. Until such a transition hits critical mass, the HAUP board is nothing but a means to put a little TV box on your PC monitor --- something the world has yet to demonstrate anything but a yawn for. (They've been available -- from HAUP, from ATI, from others --- as a minor peripheral, for years.) Congratulations to the cynics who rode this thing, though. A little knowledge would have kept any pop below $15.
