the history you cite about the North American tribes may have validity but,you yourself have indicated these events occurred after the arrival of the white man. You have quoted white mens' stories of conduct. No written record prior to this exist.

All any of us have to go on are tribal oral or pictorial legends.
Also, who taught the lessons and wrote the books that furthered your education? White men I presume. I had a teacher once try to teach as fact that Custer was a brilliantly brave commander. His military tactics were stupid and brutal in the artillery attack of women, children and old people. That would kinda tick me off too.
