One nice thing about RSYS's business is the ability to shift to whatever is hot and not be stuck in a slowing area. The telecom business is probably the next great place to be worldwide. Wireless handsets are expected to grow from 207 million units in 1999 to 392 million in 2003. A report last week predicts 203 of the 392 will be for GSM units. #reply-9563554 Darrell pointed out in a previous post the Nokia win was for the GSM standard. They are in a struggle with a newer CDMA standard from QCOM. I would assume RSYS could deal with either side. This may be why 50% of their sales are going to be with telecom companies.

On a related note here is a story about a paradigm shift from the pc desktop to wireless tech.

With Europe and Asia and the semi-conductor area picking up again, this should bode well for RSYS.
