I too am a lurker on this thread, and I too have a somewhat negative opinion of this company's (stock) performance over the past two years. And I appreciate your wanting to defend someone with the "other" side of the debate. I myself have caught flak on this thread for making negative arguments about 3Com.
But I beg you, don't give Freeflight any reason to stick around. He is not a source you should pay any attention to. His arguments are only emotional, and he makes no sense. If Palm is so bad why does he own 3 of them? To me, it is bullish for 3Com that people are buying these up like hot cakes. Don't listen to the words, but pay attention to where he spends his money.
He only makes profound statements with no real rational argument. "3COM WILL LOSE HALF THEIR REVS -- GET OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE." Oh my, and next the sky will fall. He says the same crap all over SI. See the CHKP thread for example. Of course he thinks CHKP is going to close it's doors any day now. Meanwhile the stock has risen 28% in the last month. So everyone on the street has a differing opinion.
So from a disgruntled 3Com investor (long), I'm telling you, he's just spamming the thread. The same old "dinosaurs", "gorillas", "old world", "new world", etc...
Freeflight, I'll tell you again: STOP SPAMMING THE THREADS.
I think Kirby and Freeflight need to debate 3Com's prospects. There you'd have the most blindly optimistic vs the most nonsensically pessimistic. |
