perhaps this insider is simply getting prepared for a ramp up in price

I guess that could be one possibility. Try this one. Perhaps he's just doing what many others on this thread have done. He's tired of having money tied up in a stock that's going nowheres but down, so he's cashing in his chips and looking for greener pastures. Apparently he didn't believe something was really wrong til he got the last earnings announcement.
