V3 semiconductor "set top box controllers" is not a very good description of this company. V3 designs ASIC's (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) for the embedded market. V3 designs IC's that are "direct connect" components to the most widely used microP's such as the i960 (Intel) and Power PC (IBM) families. They specialize in PCI (Peripheral Component Interface) and the relatively new I2O (Inttelligent Input Output) concepts. Their products are the best in a very hot sector and are used by the major networking and telecom companies. Ricky
