Since the lurkers all seem to be making themselves known,
I will add myself to the list. Actually, this is my first
post since joining SI. You mentioned you like splits,
especially ones that are good solid companies. EMC will be
splitting on June 1--they are currently down from their high
of 134--they closed Friday at 103.50-- and I consider them a
long term core position (although they have fluctuated enough
lately to make day trading a possibility). Currently down due
to HP's decision to use someone else, but this really should
not be a problem for them. The only other split I have been
involved in is WIND. And it went way down after the split,
but the timing was poor. I doubled up on my position when
they hit 13.50 and now they seem to be recovering. Any splits
you have that look good?
