Hi Sam, I think it will work. They're engineering flexibility in the different parts of their corporate structure (long distance/wireless, local phone/cable/set top and internet) so they can adapt to how some issues may develop (deregulation, financing, equity markets, and the way the changes in information delivery will affect entertainment, education, medicine, etc) during the next rounds of globalization. Despite the difficulties in using conventional valuation measures to price the company, I think T is a stock with different parts worth visiting and revisiting for a long time. Gus P.S. I posted the last one to you because of your references to corruption and a strong middle class (globally) when I was following disk drives more closely. Messrs. Greenspan, Rubin and Summers continue to focus on these issues (among many others) as they lead the way in modernizing the global financial system.
