Svogel, I looked at the ITU and found TI and many others have filed disclosure forms, which I found in the public area. The disclosures I.D. the ITU G. Dot # and the patent the companies feel have a chance of being applicable. It should be noted Aware's information is not available in the public area and it is the only one I found, which isn't available electronically to members. It appears there must be written requests made for it. Maybe there is a person who has access to the member area who can help us out. My guess is the reasoning is based on a pending patent or something of that nature.

The information of a TI/Amati Full rate G.lite version you are referring to may be based on information Jim on the Amati thread posted, which is based on something said during a phone call or something. Not to dis Jim because I do find his posts to be beneficial, however it is hearsay based and not available to be independently confirmed. Also I think Jim is busy and has yet to respond to replies.

It's my thinking TI bought Amati for their expertise to help with the DSP designs and not to get into the consumer modem or software business, which may explain their dissolving of Amati and the discontinuing of the Amati modem products. Amati's expertise can be applied to chip design in some of the same ways as the Aware business is. Aware isn't TI's competitor as much as the other DSP makers are. As I see and understand the TI/Seimens deal, it appears the TI C6x will be used with Aware's technology in the Siemens switch.

I'll post the information on the ITU vote shortly. Forgot to get it.
