The anesthesiologist that day was not on our plan - even though the hospital was. It took several iterations between Spouse and the claims dept. to consider the pain guy's cruiserweight remittance.
Is it a recent thing? Insurance has become SO much more labyrinthine and adversarial in maybe five years. You gotta haggle for every service.
