Hi Rande,
I'm in complete agreement with your statements, i.e. most pennies are bad news. Within them are a few gems, some of which have benefited me greatly. However your overall approach matches 75% of my investments and is definitely the way to go. I'm only part way though my exploration of the various general discussion threads and should have looked closer at your specific requests for this thread. There are others more conducive for exploration of the pros and cons of something unusual like qttk.

As I read back through your thread I am quite impressed with the quality of dd. I am in the process of taking an early retirement and hope by fall to be able to contribute similar quality dd. Until then I'll try to keep up with reading of your HOME thread and have also bookmarked the FISHING thread to follow your reporting little guys.

I also hope that I was not too cavalier in posting the amount of shares owned--just trying to give an honest picture of my position. I forget, sometimes, that I am very fortunate to be able to regard "that amount' as 'risk' money that represents a small % of my investments and certainly do not want to mislead others to risk their 'critical' funds on speculative plays.
