Hi Darrin,

According to the company, the patent has been applied for in a name other than Diab II, which is a tradename. However, in order to complete the 20F registration with the S.E.C., BIO's patent lawyers had to demonstrate patents were in the works.

After March 24 (I'm not sure how long after), the S.E.C. should be in a position to supply info about BIO.

(BTW you're right about sales to subsidiaries being eliminated on consolidation (at least that's what I learned while getting my licence), but arms length sales by J/V partners to third parties are not. The latter case applies here.)

Hi Tommysdad,

BIO's website is woefully out-of-date. The Carribean trials started last year. Why the Carribbean? There are 1.5m Type II Diabetes sufferers in Canada, and double that in the Caribbean. Plus the little matter of cost of conducting trials in N.America.

Your questions are very reasonable, but you shouldn't worry about us Vancouverites' parade being rained on. It rains in Vancouver all the time anyway! The Merck deal doesn't exist until it's announced.

Just out of curiosity, I see that you are a chemist in San Diego. What can you tell us about Amylin, which is also based there? Are you by any chance connected to that company?

I hasten to remind readers that I am a retail investor in BIO, and will jump ship as soon as I smell a big enough rat. If you guys are unsure then you'll be bailing out or not getting in, or paying a higher price in exchange for agreater comfort level.I couldn't get my bid in today. The bloody exchange was down again. How do you get credibility trading on the A.S.E?

Robin
