Something similiar to this might be a consideration for Compaq as well. Buying an ISP to integrate with AV would allow AV to compete with the likes of AOL. As a portal, AV will never compete with AOL b/c AOL is far more than simply a portal. Because AOL is an ISP, its users must hit AOL.com to log on and thus AOL will always have very high traffic so long as it has subscribers. This subscriber base will allow AOL to continue growing and making massive revenues far into the future. ____________________________________ Why buy one?
