BTto offer free Internet access - paper LONDON, May 23 (Reuters) - British Telecommunications Plc (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: BT.L) is poised to offer free access to the Internet with no call charges, the Sunday Telegraph said. The paper said BT was in talks with OFTEL, the UK telecoms watchdog, about the plan. Scores of companies, including Dixons Group Plc's (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: DXNS.L) Freeserve, offer no monthly fee for customers to access the Internet from their computers. But Web-surfers still pay local call charges when connecting to the Internet.
