Ed, et al, I, for one, would rather have a TV that includes the Internet as part of the actual TV -- with a wireless keyboard, allowing me to listen to a commercial while I work on the Internet, until the commercial ends -- technology provided by companies like BRCM.
And, isn't the only way to achieve the speed necessary to accomplish downloading a movie in 5 minutes, etc., through fibre-optic lines and new technology being developed by companies like UNPH -- which means that the ultimate desirable Internet will have to come through only cable? (Then, I would want a hand-held device that connects me to my computer, thus allowing me the fibre-optic cable speed -- if that's possible.)
I'm not a techie, so don't persecute me too much.
