Nope, wrong-a-mundo, but thanks for the mind reading effort. ;-)
What I do think is that nine times out of ten a spelling error in a written post on SI, where a software solution is so readily available, is a product of laziness or inconsiderateness. I have not used the expression 'antisocial' (it seems rather melodramatic in this context), but I'll run with it for the moment.

This is not the issue. I'm a crappy speller without a dictionary. My solution? I use the dictionary. I realize that a little effort on my part will help my audience, and after all, that's a big reason for writing. IOW, I write for an audience, whether there's only one in the crowd or simply me, myself, and I. I'm not like the Sibyl who writes on the leaves and scatters them in the wind to be read by no one. Again, nine times out of ten, not bothering to take even a little bit of trouble to correct mistakes when they are pointed out is either lazy or insensitive or worse, and again I bring up the analogy of hygiene.

Oh, I disagree, I think it is something to complain about; however it's also true that there's about a zillion other things that are far worthier of complaint. There's enough to go around, I think. It's too easy to say skip it because there's more important things in life. Pay attention to infractions both large and small, but keep a sense of proportion.
