According to the Newsweek article many skulls have been found that are more than 11,000 years old and have measurements that are basically the same as skulls found in Europe that are the same age.

For decades scientists believed that all NA came from the same group(s) that crossed the Bering Straits 8,000 to 11,000 years ago. Most ancient NA skulls fall into this age group and their measurements are very similar to todays NA.

The idea that Europeans were hunting and fishing in the Carolinas for at least 4,000 years before they got here is a little unsettling for them.

By the way the Indians claim that the scientists are wrong.
