So that could imply she was either Mohawk or Huron as there are reserves of each near Montreal. "Iroquois" is a term sort of like "Gaelic" or "Celtic" - could be Scottish, Irish, or something else.

It's your business but are you at all interested? Personally I'm interested in knowing as much about my family background as possible. But then I've always liked history and this could be a way of personalizing it.
