Bob,

Come on Bob, you gotta be kidding . You made me laugh out loud!!!!

Esp. regarding the media. If you really really believe that the media was unbiased in its reporting of Bre-x in the last 6 months, then you MUST of been reading a much different version than I was.

I may not go so far as to pen conspiracy, but do any of us on this thread really know,.....really?

The Canadian media's report of this tragedy (in more ways than one) has been shameful. Other than a few recent articles (namely the Prize).

<My source lives in Jakarta and it was not a secret there that Bre-x has some problems with their COW's>

That's a real good one Bob. No kidding they had a problem, they had not been signed yet!! But you dare tell me that any other exploration company that was in Bre-x's position at the same time with the same find would not have done the exact same thing. Now everyone is saying make sure you have the COW's signed first, that's real brilliant!! Hind sight is a wonderful thing,....isn't. Now everyone is saying oh Bre-x made big mistakes, what a bunch of bumblers, they did't make the right contacts. And the list goes on, and on,.....and

Did you not read a previous post (in The Prize) where one of their own ministers was quoted as saying that Bre-x made if any real errors made 'insignificant ones'. I am certainly not happy with the outcome of events, and certainly Bre-x could have been more 'savy', 'sophisticated' with their dealings in Indonesia. But let us be honest with our examination if events.

Just alittle aside: When I first started in business I was a young niave 24 yr old renting a 5000sq. ft. facility. And during the years the landlord was successful in convincing me that I was responsible for this, for that. Would never pay for something that was his responsibility, always was somehow able to convince me that it was my financial responsibility. Well as I grew older and more experienced I realized that he had basically been stealing from me for years. Many people in the business world consider this (the actions of my landlord) 'savy', 'shrewd', and to be admired. And myself--well I was just incompetent, bumbler, unsophisticated. There is where Bre-x's mistake was!!!

Interesting and somewhat sad what we admire in business sometimes!!

Now I am not one to lament about what might of been. But at least let us recognize the obvious.

P.S. #1 Except for any lawsuits, does it even really matter anymore who did what!!!

P.S. #2 I know I was somewhat rambling with my post, and for that I apologize.
