What scared me most about Ancor was during a 4-6 month window when the
rumors were flying around that their switch did not perform. Once I
began hearing from reliable sources that this rumor was merely
malicious, I felt Ancor was going to succeed just fine. For whatever
reason, the FC industry has not treated the early adopters very well.

The most recent price rise has been gratifying but not too surprising.
I have been anticipating the Brocade IPO for a couple of months now,
so I have been adding to my positions steadily. I still kept my fingers toes
crossed as well :-)

What I do find odd is the lack of a head to head comparison. The NDA
excuse is getting thin in my opinion. A technical analysis seems long
overdue. I strongly suspect that both Brocade and Ancor will jockey
and repeatedly trade the poll position in price/performance within the
months ahead. Since Brocade always had a mountain of PR over the last
several years, any mention of Ancor is sure to cause a rise. I
rejoice that Brocade must stand behind their claims once they become
public.

For those of you who attended N+I, have you noticed the smugness seems
to have faded among the Brocade engineers and salesmen?

Anybody heard more about the Veritas relationship? I think this may
be an important harbinger of things to come.
