W Shake.. Price per center - right. Exactly the calculation I made before April 6 when I bought LCAV. It was half the others then.
Time to get out, maybe. But I looked a little closer. LCAV about $ 511 - 564 Mill Market Cap, 21 Centers = $ 27 Mill/ Center
LZRC 1657 Market Cap, 49 Centers = $ 35 Mill/ Center. 49 centers was my last note a good month ago. The LZRC website does not respond at your Sunday night, so I can't check : How many Centers or lasers do they have at this time ?
Also, last I looked LCAV did 148 procedures per laser and month and LZRC was at 175. Saturation is in the 500 - 600 area, half an hour for two eyes.
LCAV knew, I think, that they were underutilized (2 quarters earlier it was 90) and hired a marketing guy in September whose credentials looked good (Some S-8 ) Another reason why I bought and luckily caught it at 4.
I wonder if anyone has evaluated the market cap per center a little more thoroughly than I. Perhaps more up-to-date. Do they have 80 centers now ? That would price LCAV way above LZRC, I agree. Strangely the 10Q only gives the number of 61 400 procedures for 9 months, nothing for 3 mo.
Regarding Gimbel, I think Joe posted somewhere that there is extremely thin liquidity, just a few 100 shares a day at times. Have not checked that, but don't intend to invest in Gimbel. One may not be able to get out.
