Slate,
Oliver demon-strated for us, IMHO, the intrinsic value of competition. He challenged our thought processes as investors (believers / advocates / defenders / contributors / pick and shovel wielders...) He asked us, in a not always so polite way, the $64. question... Why have we put at stake our capital in a commitment to the future valuation of an as-yet-unproven enterprise? And yes, Slate, he salted it with some insulting and flat-out offensive miscarriages of fact, and provoked some rather spirited responses. Oliver, I too suspect your motivation, but I applaud your courage! But what a great privilege it was to read the wisdom expressed on this thread, in response to your frontal assault!
What you got in return (that's an editorial "you" ) was a wealth of information, and some truly eloquent explanations of the the who, what, where, when, how and why of Wave Systems.
And Weby, thank you for being such a class act. Your apology was unnecessary. BTW, I've been reading Negroponte all day, and I think I sprained my imagination!
Cheers,
