Lee, I doubt that the internets stocks themselves would cause economic collapse but are a symptom of excess that is showing up in the negative savings rate of americans, excessive consumer and corporate debt, yadda yadda

Expanding Money Supply.
Heavy Public Participation in the Markets.
Heavy Speculation and increased use of margin and derivatives.

of course all these have existed for several years now.

nobody knows when it will pop.
