Hello Ted,

When CRN did this poll they stated that it was "smaller" VARs.
I am not totally familiar with what they term smaller means,
but if you follow the numbers month by month you can clearly
see a trend. There has been diminished numbers for Compaq in recent
months especially in the pc arena and in notebooks and recently
Compaq has seen better numbers in servers. These numbers seem to
equate to the lack of performance by Compaq over 1Q. While one cannot
base their entire decision on these polls, I believe they indicate
the direction of the company. The last poll seems to be pointing
to Compaq attempts to get into higher margin sales.
Perhaps rudedog could expound.
