Hello Frank! I love the real-world research methodology! ;-) I too will use a variety of people to try and gain insight into the perspectives of the "average person" ... but I have to admit that I'll have to learn from you and try the "cab driver" method ... ;-) Reading through all the material that I brought back from N+I, there is yet another giant involved in the mix ... Nokia! If you read: nokiaiptel.com you'll find that they actually acquired Vienna Systems(?) and that the URL viennasys.com takes you to ... the same site! ;-) So Nokia and Ericsson both recognize the type of equipment that people are after ... After reading I-Link's site, I realize that I used to work with John Edwards at Novell ... I was wondering where he headed off to ... It appears that I-Link is going to be competing with Net2Phone ... they seem to offer a long distance service, besides the hardware. I can't seem to get any real information though ... the link in their "press release" just takes me to yet another page that is selling their long distance service ... can't find the tech specs on the gear that's talked about ...
