As I said in my post, my predictions were at least as inaccurate as yours regarding CPQ. I do think that looking at CPQ's PC market share misses the point - they are playing defensively in that space (as are IBM and HP). CPQ will have a more aggressive defense but defensive none the less. This will continue to provide an opportunity for DELL, but most observers already expect DELL to take the #1 position in US desktops sometime this year.

The real question is what does that mean? If DELL can not beef up enterprise sales more quickly, then they will need to do something else to maintain growth and profitability. PCs will just not get DELL where it needs to go.
