If those folks who are nervous would just buy a few calls to go along maybe they wouldn't be so nervous. If you don't get the strike prices too close they can be pretty cheap, but I think your assessment is right its not people actually getting a margin call and having to close out a position that propels the stock -- it's nervous nellies who can't stand the heat when it moves 3 or 4 points against them.
