Reader, Corel has sold at least one upgrade of Office 2000 and the Graphics Suite to an "end user," me. Paid US $179 for Office Pro upgrade and $189 for Graphics. Initial response: Favorable.
Perhaps the brightest improvement, from a shareholder's point of view, is the option in WP and QPro to switch to Word and Excel menu's and formats. The help menu provides "help for Word and Excel upgrader's." Corel needs to promote the "ease of change" to IS managers and the public at large. If Corel could convince 2% of the market to switch, profits will make a grand appearance.
Corel has stuffed a lot of additional programs into the packages such as Trellix and Print Office. Office 2000 includes a headset for Dragon. This particular headset includes the "Parrot" amplifier which should allow the microphone to work with all sound cards, thus eliminating another problem.
The WP interface hasn't changed much. The main reason any WP8 owner would want to upgrade are for the improved internet capabilities and improved graphics handling.
Overall, these packages should be desirable. If promoted well, they will sell. Considering the quality of these products, the stock is way too low at these levels. Looking forward to Q2 actuals. Anticpating Q3 even more.
Up, Up, and Away,
Scott
