Looks like the 45 support predicted last week will be very strong, judging from the slow pace AMER is approaching 50. And the volume is picking up again. My reading on this is that the shorts are not taking the profits and patiently waiting for further drop before buying back. The sliding in price this week is largely due to the unloading from the long side. This kind of slow deteriation is a warning sign of further drop.

Another thing worries me is the broader market. If AMER goes below 50, the same kind of nervousness might trigger a selloff.

It's too late to short the stock now, there's not much downward potential left to justify the high risk. If you're on the long side, this might be a time to take your profit and be cautious.

I think it might be a good idea to transfer the money into CompuServe, which is safer and fairly valued.
