Ken,

just got back from Paris.... markets are zooming up over there. Most over 15 to 20 % YTD.

As for SPLS, I am still long. I am hoping for concessions from the govt and a deal with OfficeMax. Still stubbornly positive on SPLS's prospects for 97/98. I actually revised my 12-month target up to $35, due to my revision of S&P earnings to $47 for 97, thus at 808 this morning, it's only 17+ multiples to me. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic on earnings, but my trip to Europe gave me a very positive impression on Dow/S&P stocks. Do you know that companies like XON, KO, MRK get 60-75% of their earnings overseas? After our terrific 3 year US run, it's time for the rest of the world to catch up. I believe large caps will continue to benefit from this phenomennon.

Have to cut this short, gotta bid on CSCO and TMO.
