Here's something interesting: UTTC owns 60% of PLCO's stock; UTTC is essentially a holding company that owns nothing else but this block of PLCO. Now, PLCO has a market value of $8.5 million. Sixty percent of this is $5.1 million. That's the market value UTTC stock should carry, but it doesn't--its market value is only $3 million. Thus, UTTC stock should be 70% above its current 80 cents, or about $1.35. Despite the awful spread I picked up some UTTC this morning. These market mistakes usually get corrected eventually, in my experience.
