When it rains, it pours. More WSJ news:

Health Brief -- LASER INDUSTRIES LTD.:
EpiTouch Laser Receives
Clearance From the FDA

Laser Industries Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel, said it received notification
from the Food and Drug Administration that its EpiTouch laser
has been cleared for cosmetic hair removal. The FDA clearance makes
Laser Industries the third company to get clearance to
market lasers for removal of unwanted facial and body hair. Thermolase
Corp., San Diego, received clearance in 1995, and
Palomar Medical Technologies Inc., Beverly Mass., announced Monday
that its EpiLaser had been cleared. Yesterday,
Palomar said it received a U.S. patent for the hair-removal laser
technology it licenses from Massachusetts General Hospital.

On the Nasdaq Stock Market yesterday, Laser Industries closed at
$13.50, up 62.5 cents, or 4.9%.

Note from RAM:
With more companies enterring the field, margins will
be affected adversely. Some plusses for PMTI are:
1) They have a full line of lasers. They can fill a salon with a
wide range of skin treatments.
2) They are already geared up for production.
3) They are already the low-cost producer.
We shall see.
