Oh you may enjoy this story.

Last night a went out a couple of times to call for one of my cats to come in for the evening and she did not respond. I heard a distant meow but couldn't find her. At 3 am while sleepy, doped, and having one enhanced margarita in my system I hear a faint meow again. I go outside and I see an image in the moon light of my god damn cat...ON THE ROOF. I can't get on the roof and she can't get down. I called the fire dept but they were not interested (those shows are fake). I tried a step stool but was 2 feet shy of reaching her. I live in a condo complex. She has been crying for hours at this point. I try putting books on the step stool. My neighbor comes out at 4 am and we try to put the step stool on a chair...remember I am on pain pills. I tried taking the cat door down and using it as a sled. I tried using the front piece of a sterio speaker as a ladder for her. I tried tieing a sheet with a heavy object as a way to get down ( like a jail break.

I finally pooped out. I knew the construction workers would be here in the morning so I would borrow a ladder. I went to bed at 5 am put a pillow over my head and tried to go to sleep. 7am I remembered the hardware store opens so I ran down there...bought a ladder...crabbed the lousy cat by the scruff of the neck and now we have peace.

That was just unreal. What timing. But I did need a ladder.
