It's nice to have some evidence that all other things being equal, Intel could be looking at the biggest share of a $20-$30 billion pie. If they got a conservative 70-80% share, that would mean an additional $14-$24 billion in sales. With a $26 billion sales base in '98, Intel could easily double sales in 3-5 years. At the $800-$3,000 price points margins would hold or probably improve.

Given the number of manufacturers who are supporting the IA-64 program (as you remind us from time to time), these numbers are not unrealistic. Importantly, none of these gains appear to be factored into Intel's current price AND Intel's recently announced initiatives (server farms etc.) are indications that Intel is not resting relying on this business ALONE for its growth.
