Gregg I have the utmost respect for you. You have done nothing but be an honest, helpfull patient teacher to many on this board. However we are two for two on this subject. The last time we disagreed was when Irwin spoke. Whille Your posts, are so clear and concise(Iam jealous being a terrible writer), I have not found the same from insiders of QCOM. My request of mr Thornley is not a Rah Rah overzealous speach, but clear and concise direct rebuttal. I think CNBC should interview you. I do not think your answer to why did you sell shares would be "because things are going well" your answer would be more like "The insider window is open because business is fine and there have been no negative developments. Were there unfavorable trends, management would either disclose the bad news or close down insider transactions." You would probably add that Tax planning, and diversity were at issue considering the huge unvested options you still have. Its not what is said but the way it is said. I heard what I wanted to hear, but am continually disapointed in Media's portrayl of this company. Therfore someone must emerge who is more Media savy, who can contend with the barage of negativity that constantly is chalanging this companies interests. I know in the long term the stock price will relate to earnings, however it is still a weak point that could be improved. A good Management team adresses all issues, not just a few. As a stockholder I am 99% happy, the last % has to do with PR. Its not about conservitsm, but about Image. Its not the end of the world but it does matter.
I would like to reiterate that I am very pleased with Mangement and its conservitive ways. I have 100% confidence in their work. I just think that they need to defend themselves on national TV with a little more Gusto. Maybee its the NewYorker in me, but I hate Bullies and people who wont defend themselves. |
