Michelle, do you actually know how Dan got suspended? Or are you simply jumping to conclusions?
I personally have no eyes to weep either way for rude Dan. The guy was honestly one of the rudess people around SI. Although I would never personally "turn him in". He clearly attempted to incite those who disagreed with him. If memory serves me right he called many people names simply for the sport of it. Neocon and myself, who never stooped to his level were insulted, as was many other posters who came and went. The rules for verbal engagement are pretty well laid out. If he did get booted as you say, it was Jill's call. She has proven over many years on SI to be wise in these decisions. She's not a knee jerk remover of participants as you seem to believe.
If you're in real pain over Daniel's removal, simply email Jill and express your displeasure. If she has the time, I'm sure she will take your request seriously.
Another thing which doesn't quite make sense to me Michelle. If I felt as you seem to, that posters on this politics thread are harassing me, and treating me extremely unfairly, why don't you simply turn off your bookmark and stop visiting the place. Not that I would want you to or anything, but if the place is really tormenting you that much, for your own good why not?
I actually had to do that myself on the feelings thread because a few of the posters were out and out lyers. Perhaps I'm a little sensitive in this area, by lying to me is extremely offensive, so I simply turned if off and have not visited since.
It's not like this is a critical stock thread or anything.
