Ed, Mike listed ounces recovered per ton of screened head ore for tests 1 through 23. I used the first sample sent to Sabin (tests 1 - 5) - see Message 8716091
but I excluded test # 2 since it had no pretreatment whereas all of the others did. This resulted in a average of 7.96 ounces with a market value of approx. $3,720 per ton of screened head ore. Had I not excluded test #2 the average value would have been $3,433. On the other hand if I had used the average of all 23 tests (PR 2/25 and PR
3/16) the average ounces per ton would have been 13.01696 with a market value of $5,608.

To arrive at the number of tons of screened head ore required to be processed to yield one ton of slime just divide the value of one ton of slime ($600,000) by the market value of one ton of screened head ore ( I used $3,720). So $600,000 divided by $3720 = 161.29 tons of head ore. Of course these are approximations.

Regards,
Bob
