Smith Barney issued comments both before and after the conference call today and they are instructive. The analyst there slashed his estimates as follows--to .10 for this quarter, the lowest possible figure given by the company, and then 0.50 for full year 1999 and 0.60 for full year 2000.

Even with these strong cuts, the analyst notes that the company remains a key niche player in the leisure industry, and sees most of the 2 quarter shortfall as growth and acquisition related.

So even a fairly dramatic cut in estimates gives this analyst a 2 year growth rate for EPS of 53.8%--from 0.39 to .60--and there is now clearly a place for positive surprises.
