Mrs. Clinton Says 'I Do Plan To Live In New York'

dailynews.yahoo.com

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is considering running for the Senate from New York, said she plans to live in New York City when she leaves the White House whether or not she launches a political campaign.

In an interview with CBS's Dan Rather conducted last week and slated to air Wednesday's edition of ''60 Minutes II,'' Clinton said, ''I do plan to live in New York no matter what I end up doing.''

She made the comment in the context of answering a question about which New York baseball team she would root for if she ran for the Senate seat being vacated by Democrat Daniel Patrick Moynihan.

Clinton said, ''The politic answer ... is I'll root for both'' the New York Yankees and the New York Mets.

Her use of the word ''I'' instead of ''we,'' which would have referred to herself and President Clinton, hinted at the possibility of Mrs. Clinton moving to New York without the president at the end of the administration in early 2001.
