But if Charlemagne and his happy band of 50 were traversing through Europe on their way to Africa from Britain, and Charlemagne died in France while his band continued on to Africa, where they settled in Kenya, a Frenchman would not have any basis to claim Charlemagne as his ancestor. Do you see where Im coming from? Now we both make certain assumptions in our arguments, and we both may have a kernel of truth, but Im convinced Id have to stick to my assertion, respectfully.
