I concur wholeheartedly. If your not a day trader that has time to sift through the deluge of Yahoo/Raging Bull "Spam I am" to find the substantive messages, SI is an extremely useful filter of sorts. I can quickly cruise through the threads I'm interested in and move on without having to wade through the "I can't believe this next Microsoft-like stock is down, you shorts are all #@&&^$! losers!!! buy buy buy !!!!" Wading through this nonsense for any serious investor without a lot of time or patience is easily worth the $10/month to post messages. Actually, if you were really disciplined, you could refrain from posting at all and just read. Yet I think that if you have any real interest in a position and any real opinion on the position, it is very difficult to simply read and accept everything coming down the pipe. So as a busy person that wants to get the quick skinny without having to wade through the Everglades of spam, get access to some substantive opinions and links, AND throw your 2 cents in to get what you really want out of it, this is a pretty good place to spend some time.
