Interesting commentary on AOL by "Cheetah"

"Case in point is AOL... hmm good old AOL well the top analysts sure pulled a fast one on everyone the other day. Just about everyone on the street magically came out the other morning with the stock around 136 and screamed buy. Saying that investors are missing out on the great opportunity in AOL. Well that was so nice of them as the stock has fallen roughly 17 points in about 2 days since then. Very nice indeed...
Guess who was probably selling aggressively as many television anchors become their puppets on a nationally watched investment channel? The fact is the net sector was extremely weak and the chart was looking ugly. So here is what happened. You got tons of shares of AOL by the investment community but nobody to buy so you better start a campaign to attract liquidity as you sell to gullible investors. Now these same analysts will eventually be issuing caution flags on AOL and that will be the time they can then start accumulating as the public panic's to unload right back into the same hands that they were just fed overvalued shares. This story happens all the time. I am pointing out this case because it is so obvious that it is a perfect text book case to study for those who want to learn the tricks on Wall Street. I love how there is no defense on the stock as it falls nearly 13% since the strong buy recommendations only two days previous? Where are these bullish analysts? hmmm.. This is really sad folks and this is the type of stuff that goes on every day.
