Bill: I too exposed myself to oil prices by buying an SUV. City mileage is wretched but highway mileage seems not too much different than a six-cyl sedan. I bought an SUV specifically because the last snowstorm in my area dumped so much snow that my four-door sedan got stuck on a side street.

I bought mostly oil drilling stocks with a sprinkling of independent oil producers. Funny thinking is that the integrated oils (Exxon, Texaco, etc) seem to have appreciated the same % as oil services stocks. Perhaps I should buy the multinationals too?
