Wooly:

The WAVE/EMBASSY system could provide its encryption and content metering capabilities to any one of a number of the currently discussed music industry distribution/rights-protection schemes, as well as any of the various information transmission and recovery schemes to transmit and then play the music.

At the present time, however, the music industry itself is in chaos as to which of these many alternatives to follow.

The beauty of the WAVE/EMBASSY system is that its open and easily configurable characteristics make it compatible with practically ALL of these schemes.

The beauty of the Sprague's business model and marketing approach, is that WAVX is a service company and that it need not choose sides and serve any specific one or group of these schemes, but that it is the ESSENTIAL resource for ALL of them. WAVX is a participant in the music industry group that is wrangling about where and how digital content distribution will develop.

The music content distribution business is another example in which Wave is ahead of the curve, and is ready, and will have to wait for that industry to get its act together and catch up.
