CNBC is all over First Union this morning...lowering earnings estimates, because they are investing 500 Million in the Internet Banking Channel, see 1999 as a year of transition, doing away with Mergers as a way to grow. Hopes to have 5 Million on line Banking Customers by 2001. Man....it's about damm time. For a while there I was really miffed at all these Jumbo Banks being Brain Dead.
