PanAmerican BanCorp Releases Details On DEAO.com Project
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hauppauge, NY- April 16, 1999 – PanAmerican BanCorp, Inc. (OTC:BB PABN) announced today details on its DEAO.com site currently under development by their Pan American Internet Group. DEAO.com will act as a configurable content hub for both users of desktop computers and portable devices.
“DEAO.com will offer users an easy to consume, totally configurable environment,“ said Larry Roof, Director of Research and Development for Pan American Internet Group, Inc. “We've been studying how web content is viewed and have found out that the typical portal approach to information disbursement is simply not very effective. Users are often overwhelmed by the quantity of information that they are presented with. Our studies have found that users mentally erase much of the information on their screen in an effort to simply the content.” He went on to say, “With DEAO.com we are taking a completely different approach by focusing on individual pieces of information.”
Beta testing for DEAO.com will begin in the third quarter of 1999. Marketing efforts, including advertising and sales, are expected to begin in June 1999. Product availability is expected early fourth quarter of 1999.
PanAmerican Internet Group is the “dot.com” division of PanAmerican BanCorp, Inc.
