Compaq Cuts Prices on Deskpro
Desktop PCs
Significant Customer Savings up to 14 Percent
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 1999--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:
CPQ - news) today announced price reductions on a wide range of its Deskpro desktop PCs.
Selected models of Compaq's Deskpro EP and EN Series were reduced up to 14 percent.
Compaq Deskpro prices start as low as $1029 for a Deskpro EP Series model with an Intel Celeron
processor at 400 MHz, 32 MB RAM, a 4.3 GB hard drive, Microsoft Windows 95 and a V500
15-inch monitor.(1) Prices are based on estimated U.S. selling prices. Reseller prices may vary.
