CD Radio Inc. CD Radio is developing a subscription-based satellite radio system to be broadcast nationwide. The satellite radio system will have 30 commercial-free channels providing CD-quality music. These 30 channels will offer a variety of music formats, including opera, blues, folk rock, heavy metal, new age, and world beat. CD Radio will be broadcast over a proposed new radio band, the S-band, and will require an S-band radio for reception. CD Radio will be offered to subscribers for a monthly subscription fee.
