You have peaked my curiosity. What do you mean by ride the Internet waves etc? If a company has a strong revenue model that stands up and shows the potential for profit and then it factually performs then when the dust settles it will be left. There will be those who have huge cash reserves who may buy the revenue model they nay not. If they move ahead with blinckers on and try to prove they are correct then they may have their heads handed to them on a platter!
Think this through.
Doctors are highly educated people.
Many spent years and small fortunes getting qualified.
They do not allow others to dictate patient care etc easily. That is their domain.
They like anyone else are looking for profit centers and they are looking for cost savings. However if these so called solutions do not provide for greater freedom and the feeling and fact of greater participation by the Doctor then those who believe they have a solution will be sadly disabused.
This will prove expensive!!
Companies that involve the medical community in creating solutions will emerge as winners. Those that provide real time profits will win. Those that create savings will win. Those that seek to control or dominate will lose where Doctors are penalized for not signing up etc. I am watching the furor with interest. I wish I had a looking glass and could look into the future. I know this Mr. Fader is right to question business models that do not show a potential for profit. How long can a company dip into its cash reserves and survive?
