New pricing on Dell Website for graphics cards...

8 MB ATI XPERT 98D AGP
16 MB Diamond Viper TNT 3D AGP [+$26]
16 MB 3DFX Voodoo3 3000D AGP [+$55]
32 MB Diamond Viper v770D NVIDIA AGP [+$114]

(The last two cards are also labeled as NEW.)

commerce.us.dell.com

IMHO, this pricing looks quite reasonable. Customers will need to spend an additional $55 to get Voodoo3 performance. In order to get a TNT2 they will need to spend another $59. I believe that 3dfx will get the lion's share of the upgrades. The situation should improve when the Voodoo3 3500TV is offered <g>.

The also sell a separate STB PCI TV/FM Tuner Card [$109].

Joel

PS Maybe 3dfx is promoting the Voodoo3 3000 for OEM deals because the market demand exceeds supply and the yields have been better than expected.
